First shot of the base. We’ve already gotten the Tinker’s smelter up and running, as well as a small blood altar. Down by the water you can see our farms, with totem poles for quick grow rituals. Out on the island is a crusher.
Our marble home, just outside we have our Buffalo working pens, as well as a small pig farm (hole). Water on top of house is for landing when coming back via SlimeSling and SlimeBoots. We also see out smelting and cooking setup. In the distance some mixing basins with an infinite water source (well bucket).
Our high altitude Astral sorcery altar.
Closeup of our home with our Golden chests storage system. On the walls hang a few trophies from Twilight forest.
A setup for quickly making dough, leather, and other stuff made in mixing basins. To the left is a well bucket surrounded by water. We manually bucket water from the well bucket to the tinker tank, and then fill all mixing basins with a faucet pouting into channels leading to the back of the basins. Then we can just run along the line and put ingredients in or stir.
The wall of the house is full of drying racks for leather from the nearby mixing basins.
The Astral sorcery altar needs to be high up in the air for getting the most starlight. Our Climbing Gloves are used to climb up the side.
The Tinker’s smeltery, with wooden chest and hopper feeding into the controller.
Tool stations for making Tinker’s armor and tools. Blast oven in the background.
We are electrified! Wind mills and water wheels provides energy for our base. At the bottom some garden cloches for growing wheat, carrots, and the like.
The old farm, now obsolete by the industrial revolution.
Automation for the smeltery! Restone clocks (turned on and off with levers) control the faucets beneath. A chain of hoppers and uppers transport everything from the casts to the golden chest.
Jobjörn looking through a chest. In the background advanced blast furnace and advanced coke oven. Electricity grid starting to spread.
We go fossil. Our pumpjack is pumping oil from deep underneath the bedrock.
View from the hole. Electricity from wind and water going down, oil from the ground going up.
The first refinery is up. Oil from the pumpjack in the hole is being refined.
We ran out of power. More wind mills!
Crusher from Immersive Engineering. A dropper controlled by a redstone clock to put stuff in it. The small box with note on top is a sound muffler to stop the horrendous sounds.
MORE WIND MILLS!
The Cloches get water from the water pipeline. Our water tank (Immersive Engineering) has a Well bucket surrounded by water on top, giving us infinite water.
Our first Modular machine. This one for making propene from naphtha and steam. Behind it a solar tower for boiling water into steam.
Map of the base.
Diesel generator.
Our underground pipe system is getting a bit… messy.
More pipes.
A liquid processor to create molten plastic.
More power is needed. This is our first steam turbine generator. Making huge amounts of power, we’re a bit low on steam at the moment though.
Part of (most, really) our newly aquired power goes to the Arc furnace for smelting large amounts of ore.
The base is growing, we needed a small sleeping cottage in the other end of the base.
Our two refinery towers, with added smoke-rock from the Twilight forest for added smoke effect.
A small plastic mixer from Pneumaticraft, making all colors of plastic. In the version of SevTech we run the color items are picky, you need the actual dyes, it is (was?) not interchangeble.
Pressure chamber from Pneumaticraft.
Jobjörn and the pneumaticraft pressure chambre. Powered by a compressor running on coal. We use a hopper for input items and then a chest on the output block. You have to either specify filter by item name, or use redstone signals to prevent your input items to be pushed out immediately.
A small electric substation taking HV power from the steam turbine and storing it and then transforming it into MV, which most of the base runs on. Immersive engineering capacitators, transformers, wires and connectors.
Some items need to be compressed, by jumping on them.
Our two plastic mixers, one for solid plastic and one for colored.
Pneumaticraft area expanding. Now with a pool of etching fluid, a charging station, and the beginnings of the automated construction chain.
An accidental lava spill falling down from the Astral Sorcery altar.
A new crusher added to the base. This one from Actually Additions. Using Item Pipes from Cyclic to transfer in and out.
The kitchen from the outside. With our berry garden beside it.
We’ve got a kitchen! Basically a full Cooking for blockheads setup.
Jobjörn, stuck on a small small piece of dirt (with his grave), in the end. He fell down and died.
Rescue mission successfully completed! A waterfall brought him up.
Per on the bow of an ender ship. With a dragon head on his head.
The base has grown quite a lot.
Sunrise over the oldest parts of the base. Blood altar has been moved and upgraded since we last saw it.
Inscriber from Applied Energistics. A hopper provides input to one of the three inputs.
The Pneumaticraft supply chain is up and running, making PCB production much easier.
The computer is up! Finally! One of the biggest milestones reached! We went with Refined Storage. A grid (not a crafting one yet), a controller, and some external storage put on some storage crates.
Some kind of Necronomical ritual from AbbysalCraft.
The first compressor is up and compressing.
The view we see a lot these days.
Growing rock crystals. Just pop a rock crystal and some stardust in a pool of liquid starlight. Leave it growing until sparkling. Harvest with a pickaxe, use luck for extra drops. Repeat. (Rain not needed).
Jobjörn building our new NASA area. Here all of our Galacticraft stuff will live.
We had some differing opinions on design in the beginning. We ended up going for a dark obsidian design.
Our oxygen grove. We don’t need to have different types of trees, but it looks nice. In the middle is an oxygen collector pumping oxygen under the ground all the way over to NASA.
The arc furnace going hot. We’ve added an input chest for easier handling. Again, cyclic pipes doing the lifting.
Charging station from Immersive Engineering.
The ground under our base is increasingly looking like this. Lots of small passages with cyclic item cables, refined storage cables, so far.
More and more pipes.
Jobjörn in a space suit next to the NASA workbench. A fuel loader in the foreground.
Landing/takeoff pad has been deployed.
Our first rocket! Space, here we come!
Fuel and oxygen loader.
Mixer from Immersive engineering. We use this to create liquid slime, which we bucket into the Tinker’s smelter (just use a bucket on the drain), and the pour out.
View over the old tipi, the mixing basins, our new kitchen, and the portal to Twilight fortress.
Jobjörn heading of to the moon while Per waves goodbye. For the first time, not on the same planet.
I can’t stand it, I’m going after him!
Leaving the base behind.
The Overworld looks so small from up here. And isn’t that the moon I should be heading for?
The two moonlanders and the return rocket set up on the moon.
Heading back!
Shooting for the Overworld!
The other rocket heading home.
Mining for materials deep in the ground.
Back to the moon, this time synchronized!
Moon village, we can’t talk with them though.
…so we took their house.
Getting started on the Mekanism tree. Enrichment chamber and the Metallurgic infuser.
Methane Synthesizer and a Gas Liquefier from Galacticraft.
Cleaned up the chain a bit. A Power adapter converts power from Immersive Engineering wires to Galacticraft Aluminum wires and powers them from beneath.
The Void Ore Miner (tier 1) is up and running. Using a LOT of power.
Water electrolyzer added to the chain. Water to Hydrogen and Oxygen in the electrolyzer. Hydrogen to methane in the Methane synthesizer. Methane to rocket fuel in the Gas liquefier.
A new tier of rocket created.
The base from above. In the bottom is our mob grinder. Three Mob fans (Mob grinding utils) with upgrades blow mobs spawning naturally in a dark box into iron spikes. All loot is collected through a series of hoppers.
A Mekanism chain creating Steel from Iron. Iron is loaded through Refined Storage exporters to the left (turned on or off with the lever). Coal is loaded through the back through exporters as well, and the result is imported directly into the computer.
Smelter from Mekanism. The difference in size and efficacy between Mekanism and Immersive engineering is very obvious when put beside each other. This imports some smeltable stuff automatically from Refined Storage and puts it back.
Three new Sun towers from Immersive engineering, producing a lot more steam for our turbines.
Second steam turbine up and running.
Our power farm.
View over the base from the blood altar, looking our over NASA.
Heading to Mars!
Setup on mars. Power cell synced to the Power cell on the Overworld, providing wireless energy wherever we need.
Heading home again.
Galacticraft requires a lot of compressed stuff. So here are, more compressors.
View over the base from the Astral sorcery altar.
Jobjörn and his army of slugs.
The Nether portal.
Some artistic flair on our portal area.
Teleporters to the moon and Mars. We’ve found the teleporters a bit flakey, usually turned off when we get back to the server. We have both Weirding gadgets and Anchors, but they doesn’t seem to work 100%.
We’ve moved the Twilight Forest portal to the portal area.
The portal area.
We found a lot of slugs on Venus (I think).
If you sometime leave the base, you can find quite a pretty landscape.
We did some experiments to find which flooring was fastest. Three lanes with grass path, concrete, asphalt. For added flair som finish line lamps.
Base perimeter expanded. Lots of new space for construction.
We’ve traveled to the asteroids. A water sigil from Blood magic clears asteroids quickly. And gets you a way up again.
Something is clearly on fire.
Sunset over… the Moon?
Terrain generation can be… weird.
Miniaturization field constructed.
Mystical agriculture house built. Three floors with an elevator in the middle. Will be empty for quite a while though.
Mekanism smelter upgraded to a Smelting factory. Speeeeeeeed.
The old Immersive engineering crusher also hooked up to some exporters and importers. We have three crushers because they don’t crush the same stuff, because reasons.
Crusher hooked up to some importers and exporters.
MORE COMPRESSION!
Some stuff should automatically be infused. Mostly stuff from the Void ore miner.
A new area with a Mekanism chain for increasing output from ore. They are purified, crushed, and enriched. The first part are a lot of electrolyzers making oxygen, piped with mekanism pipes to the purifier.
Jobjörn showing off his new drill.
Jobjörn testing out his new rifle.
Jobjörn has gotten some kind of staff that can build in a straight row.
Jobjörn standing in front of a new tier of rocket.
View over the base, with Jobjörn swooshing past in his new rocket.
A new tier of rocket, ready to launch! Our rocket production rate has greatly increased by the SevTech update making us able to create our schematics in the Shambulator.
Our mob spawner. A dark box with some fans and spikes.
Expanded teleporter area to all planets.
An atomic reconstructor is up and running, with added safety features. Now we can get leather so much easier than before.
Empowerer and displaystands. Powered from below by aluminum wires. Mystical agriculture is getting closer. We just have to get to neptune.
Blast off, another tier of rocket. Going to saturn, or Neptune perhaps.
The base from above.
Jobjörn hard at work getting some boilers up. We’re constantly lacking steam for our turbines.
Three of our solar towers, and our boiler and turbines.
Even more solar towers, and the Advanced Generators turbines.
The base was a bit bare, so I grew some trees near our portal zone.
Our first prosperity shard getting generated! Mystical Agriculture here we come!
We made an industrial drying unit from Modular machinery. We needed tanned hide for something, and this was easier. I also went around putting up signs on everything.
The steam production has been restructured. Everything now pumps into one tank and from there to the turbines.
Distilleries to produce distilled water, making our solar towers more efficient.
Our infinite water generation v2 (up from the old well bucket method) relies on Mekanism Electric Pumps, into a fluid tank buffer, and then piped with mekanism pipes (due to their throughput) to the distillers.
The first Tier of Mystical agriculture is up. We grow them in Immersive engineering Garden Cloches and import the contents directly into our Refined storage. In front are Refined storage detectors which will turn off both the Cloche and importer when we have over 1000 items of the thing we’re growing.
One of the mods apparently has a Halloween feature. A soundless lightning strike and then a ghostly appearance. Creepy
Our recently landscaped area making room for even more Solar towers!
